About Us

For the past six years, I have worked as a frontline NHS clinician managing complex cases across acute internal medicine, general adult medicine, and geriatric medicine.

In these settings, care rarely involves a single diagnosis. It requires balancing multiple comorbidities, cognitive decline, safeguarding concerns, family dynamics, and system pressures while maintaining clear clinical judgement.

I have supported the delivery of a dedicated Parkinson’s clinic service and provided a Parkinson’s in-reach service for inpatients requiring urgent specialist review — ensuring timely assessment, medication optimisation, and coordinated multidisciplinary care.

A significant part of my leadership role has involved sensitive, high-stakes conversations. I have led on Trust-level discussions surrounding DNACPR decisions and ceiling-of-care planning, and have taught junior doctors how to approach these conversations with professionalism, compassion, and legal clarity.

For a substantial period, I also led a dedicated relatives clinic, acting as a bridge between families and clinical teams. This shaped a deep appreciation of the uncertainties and unanswered questions that patients and families often carry.

Over time, I recognised a wider gap — patients struggling to navigate healthcare systems, and healthcare professionals lacking structured guidance for progression.

S+S Medical Consultancy was created to address that gap — providing structured guidance, informed clarity, and confident direction to those who seek it and deserve it.
